Situated halfway between the historic towns of Chateau Gontier and Laval in the heart of Chateau Country. Picturesque landscapes with gently rolling hills and meandering river valleys, with frequent locks and mills. This is a region rightly famed for its Chateaux, with splendid examples scattered around the area. Situated close to the Mayenne River, which is one of only four in France where night fishing is permitted, and is a haven for a wide variety of wildlife.

The old stable block for the original farm, which predates the French Revolution. The accomodation comprises of: Ground floor: Large open plan living/dining space with sofabed and an intergrated kitchen including microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is satellite TV, DVD and HiFi. Off the kitchen there is a laundry room with washing machine and a shower room/WC. First floor: Double bedroom and twin bedroom, bathroom/WC and storage area. Externally there is a terrace to two sides, patio furniture, BBQ facilities and private parking. There is a 10m x 5m swimming pool, games room with pool table, table tennis, darts etc, a children\'s outdoor play area and a boules pit. On the large front lawn of the main house there is a summer house with built in BBQ. We also offer a 3 bedroom gite, which is the original farmhouse. Please call for details.

Numerous music, dance and theatre festivals occur throughout the year as well as the Christmas markets and spectacular lights. Local attractions include the Refuge de L'Arche (an animal sanctuary and wildlife park), St Denis du Maine which has a lake with swimming, boating, fishing, mini golf and cycle paths, The Garden at the End of the World with children\'s play areas, historic towns, and prehistoric sites. Local Catholic church services and Protestant churches at Laval and Angers. Le Mans is only 1 hour away with its Motor Museum and historic Cathedral. Chateau Gontier has a market on Thursdays selling a wide variety of local produce. This region is also a haven for horse enthuasiasts with riding schools nearby and major horse racing and trotting at Meslay du Maine and Le Lion D'Angers. Golfers are also well catered for many courses nearby including 2 27 hole golf courses one at Laval the other at sable, we can arrange golfing holidays on request.
