This property is situated at the foot of the Medieval City of Carcassonne and just over the bridge from the 'lower city' where you will find shops, museums, art galleries etc. You are just a short walk from the famous Canal du Midi and just minutes by car from being surrounded by the vineyards of the Minervois, Corbieres, Cabardes etc.

This property has been restored with great taste and with no expense spared to a very high standard. On the ground floor there is a fully equiped kitchen with a large wooden dinning table where you can enjoy your fresh croissants in the morning, this leads onto the lounge area. From here you can go straight out onto the private terrace where you can relax with an apperitif after your days exploring around Carcassonne. Up on the first floor you will find 3 double bedrooms and then up again to the second floor where there are 2 double bedrooms and a third bedroom with a double bed and a mezzanine area for 2 more, this is a perfect family room. All of the bedrooms are very spacious and have en-suite facilities. The entire house is very spacious and the light floods in everywhere through the large french windows. From the back of the house there is a spectacular view of the City.

Places of Interest

To start with you have the Medieval City of Carcassonne where you can wonder through it's cobbled streets and learn about it's extensive history. In the lower city you can visit the museums and art galleries and walk to the Canal du Midi. The whole are is full of Chateaux where you can try the local wines and taste the local specialities. There are also a number of ancient Abbeys where you can walk in the monks footsteps. You can also take the waters at Alet les Bains, go canoeing and kayaking or venture the other way to Narbonne and spend your days lazing on the sandy beaches. For those of you who are visiting in the winter you can drive to the slopes for a bit of skiing. There really is something for everyone.
