Set in 5½ acres of beautiful parkland, and situated on a small hill within a valley, it enjoys panoramic views in all directions, and is central to everything this wonderful region has to offer. La Forge has two bedrooms and it suitable for one to four people sharing. Location Les Lavandes dates back some five hundred years and was once a lavender farm. There are four properties on the estate catering for adults over 18 years of age, each with its own private terrace which are not overlooked by any of the other houses. Set in 5½ acres of beautiful parkland, and situated on a small hill within a valley, it enjoys panoramic views in all directions, and is central to everything this wonderful region has to offer.

We are situated on the D703 between Le Bugue (8kms) and Ste. Alvère (6kms). Bordeaux our nearest International Airport is 2 hours drive from here and Toulouse is around 2½ hours away. There are regular flights from Stanstead, England to Bergerac Airport, which is about 40 kms away via Ryanair and from Bristol and Southampton via Flybe. It is possible to fly from Paris to Bergerac which is 20 miles away approximately. The trains from Paris stop in Le Buisson (10 miles) and Le Bugue (5 miles) Both Ste. Alvère and Le Bugue offer Boulangeries, Pharmacies, Super Markets and numerous Cafes and excellent Restaurants.

At Les Lavandes you will find nature at its most beautiful. It is a photographers and artists paradise, and is surrounded by a wealth of flora and fauna. Our gardens are plentiful with over 17 different varieties of Orchids and herbs of all kinds, many of which our guests take home and so have a little piece of Les Lavandes with them. We offer a shopping service to our guests, buying the basic essentials to await their arrival, thereby avoiding the need to carry food in a hot car.

The houses at Les Lavandes are spacious, each lounge or lounge/diner is at least 30 sq mtrs, with the exception of La Vigne. All of the houses are equipped with Washing machines and Fridge Freezers etc. None of the terraces are overlooked by any of the other properties, so your privacy is assured. The estate is surrounded by wonderful views in all directions. The well kept five acre parkland is totally private providing a peaceful, stress free setting.

We provide the basic essentials to await your arrival, thereby avoiding the need to carry food in a hot car. There are four supermarkets in Le Bugue, one of which will be open until mid-day on Sunday.

Upstairs : One double bedroom with ample wardrobe space and drawers. Shower room with hand basin and shower. Separate WC with hand basin. Downstairs : Large twin bedded room with hand basin. Modern kitchen with fitted units, gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Large lounge and dining room with French style doors leading onto the partially covered terrace which looks out over the valley and the pool garden, a Radio/Cassettee/CD/Mp3 player, English (sky) and French TV and DVD player (please bring your own DVD's). Each house is equipped with its own garden furniture and barbecue and all the terraces are secluded. Bed linen is provided free of charge, but towels are only provided to those of our guests who are flying into the country. Heating, when required, is at extra cost. Free Wifi Internet connection

Les Lavandes is situated one kilometre from the road offering peace and tranquility and is centrally situated, and within easy reach of almost every commercial, social, sporting or leisure facility you could wish for. We are just six kilometres from the pretty fortified village of Limeuil, where the Dordogne and Vézère rivers meet, and within a short drive of the caves of Lascaux and Les Eyzies, Sarlat and Bergerac. St. Emilion and the beautiful vineyards of Bordeaux are within easy reach for those with a flavour for wine!! Nearer to hand are the Châteaux of the Pecharmant region where wine tasting is a must. Locally you will find some of the best restaurants in the region offering a variety of dishes. We will be happy to make recommendations and make reservations for you.
