Our nearest town is historic Carentan which is 10 km from Sainteny with several supermarkets, banks, shops, cinema, railway station (route to Paris) and a popular market held every Monday. Les Gites Champetres has easy access to numerous places of interest such as the Normandy Landing Beaches , Bayeux with its famous Tapestry, the seaside town of Granville and a little further afield the magnificent Le Mont St. Michel. The historic city of Caen is only 1 hour away and has excellent shopping facilities as well as other fascinating places to see. Paris is only a two hour train ride away, making an interesting day out. From Football to Fishing, Golf to Cycling, most, if not all sports activities are available within a short drive from the Gites.
